Healthier Dill Dip, Easy, Delicious and Gluten Free

Healthier Dill Dip is a delicious way to enjoy your veggies!healthier Dill dip

Pure Deliciousness

I was first introduced to this dip by my step-mother. It is a family recipe that they made for every occasion. Super simple, and always a crowd pleaser it is a dip that we had at every family get together. I loved it so much I started keeping it on hand for veggies at my house. Even my friends¬†kids love it!¬†Unfortunately, the original recipe was a bit high in fat and calories, made with sour cream and mayonnaise, it wasn’t exactly figure friendly. With a few simple adjustments I was able to boost the protein and lower the fat, without sacrificing any flavor!

Peruvian Deviled Eggs, give your deviled eggs a kick!Peruvian Deviled Eggs

Spring Time

Yesterday was the first official day of spring, and nothing says spring like a plate of deviled eggs. They are the perfect addition to any brunch, lunch, or dinner. With Easter coming up, it is more than likely that you will have an abundance of hard boiled eggs lying around. Everyone loves to color them, but what do you do with them after that? One of the great things about eggs is that they are naturally gluten free. As long as you are careful with what you add to them, they are a dish that most people can enjoy!

Jewel’s Bakery

If you are lucky enough to live in Phoenix, Arizona, then perhaps you have had the luxury of visiting Jewel’s Bakery and Cafe, an all gluten free restaurant. I have spent more time than I care to admit drooling over their pictures on Instagram. Everything from gluten free waffles and fried chicken, to donuts and eclairs, I dream of one day eating there.

I haven’t yet made it out to Arizona, but fortunately I didn’t have to. Jewel’s has now taken some of their most popular baked goods and turned them into easy to make at home mixes. I was beyond excited to try them out. In addition to the chocolate chip cookie, cornbread, brownie, pancake, and all purpose flour mixes, I was also sent this cookie:

Easy Gluten Free Breakfast Bars

Easy Gluten Free Breakfast Bars

Everyone loves a good hearty breakfast, but between my one year old running around and everyone trying to get ready in the morning, that pretty picturesque breakfast rarely happens. Lately we have fallen into a gluten free frozen waffle slump. Now, I have nothing against frozen waffles (we like the ones from Trader Joe’s, they are only 1.99 a box!), but it isn’t exactly healthy.

Gluten Free Banana Bread

Gluten Free Banana Bread

I am a huge lover of banana bread. Whenever I buy bananas, they always seem to be covered in brown spots before I get around to eating them, I kinda wonder if subconsciously I let them get that way on purpose. Once they start to turn brown, it means it is time to make banana bread.

Gluten Free Friendly Restaurants

The search for kid friendly restaurants with gluten free options.

If your family is anything like mine, they occasionally like to go out to eat, but eating out with my one year old can be quite a challenge. She is not gluten free, and there is nothing she likes more than throwing her gluten-encrusted dinner all over me. She has glutened me on more than one occasion. When she is with me I really need her to eat gluten free, she doesn’t need a sick mama. I started thinking,

Are there any places I would want to take my daughter that have gluten free menus for kids?
