What can I say about 2016? It was a year. It was actually a rough year. Several family members were very ill, my grandfather passed away, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, and then all the election craziness and just worldwide craziness. It was a year I wasn’t sad to leave behind.

On the bright side, though, some great things did happen.

  • My daughter turned two and she is just an adorable ball of energy.
  • My husband and I just celebrated out 4 year anniversary….and we still like each other!
  • My Gluten Free Miami is doing great, I love how it has become a melting pot of recipes, reviews, and info.
  • I went to FABlogCon.
  • I have gotten to try more gluten free products than I even knew existed! Some amazing, some not so amazing, but I definitely have my favorites!

If you haven’t tried out these gluten free products, get your hands on them as soon as possible! They will definitely bring a good start to your 2017!

Favorite Gluten Free Products of 2016

Best Gluten Free ProductsIt was hard to choose, but I narrowed it down to 10! These gluten free products are must have in my life!

American Gluten Free

Hands down my favorite subscription box. Yes, it’s 35.00 a month, but it is well worth it. Honestly, what you receive is probably worth more than 35.00.  Each month has an awesome theme and they send you FULL sized gluten free products to try. Think gluten free gnocchi (OMG, did not know this existed!), gluten free crepes, pumpkin spice cupcakes, balsamic creme, gluten free biscotti….oh man…every box is packed with gluten free and dairy free goodies. Plus, they are super into supporting small businesses. If you haven’t tried this American Gluten Free you need to. Even if you just get one, I promise you will be hooked.

New Primal Sticks

I have issues with my blood sugar levels, so keeping high protein snacks on hand at all times is super important for me. I first discovered New Primal Sticks at FABlogCon. I had one in my swag bag. It was uncured bacon and it was delicious. I wish I had 10 of them. Since the conference I have got to try out a bunch of other flavors and they have become a favorite go-to snack.  Plus they are healthy, so that’s a win for me!

GF Jules Flour

When I was first diagnosed with Celiac Disease I discovered GF Jules All Purpose Gluten Free Flour and have never looked back. Hands down the best all purpose GF Flour. Want to make banana bread? No problem. Brownies? No problem. A Chantilly Cake? No problem. Whatever you are making just use this and you will be fine. If you don’t believe me, just order the sample. It’s $5.00 and you get a $10.00 credit on your next order. Totally worth trying. Her flour is truly my secret weapon when it comes to living gluten free.

BFree Bread

BFree Gluten-Free Bread ReviewThis year BFree Bread came out with Pita Bread. They were already my favorite bread brand. Now they are doubly so. They would be triply (not sure that’s a word?), but availability is still pretty light in South Florida. All their bread products are delicious, low in sugar, and vegan. Those 3 things don’t normally go together, but BFree makes it work. Fun fact. If you google BFree Bread, my review that I did a year ago comes up as the number 3 post (right after their web page and before their facebook page!). That is a random fact, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Ardenne Farm

Companies contact me all the time wanting me to try their gluten free products, and honestly because I use GF Jules flour, my baked goods are so fantastic I don’t even bother, but I got to tell you, Ardenne Farms is the FIRST baking mix I have tried that I would actually be willing to pay for myself. These Cinnamon Muffins are one of the best things I ever put in my mouth. I took them to a meeting I had and they were all gone. All the gluten eaters ate them and never even questioned if they were gluten free. The brownies? I had gluten eaters asking to take the few that were left home. That good. If you see them anywhere grab a box.

Butcher Box Review | https://myglutenfreemiamiButcher Box

Because who doesn’t love steaks delivered straight to your door? and pork and chicken and bacon. It’s awesome. All grass fed, organic, heritage breed. Just overall good stuff, but more importantly it tastes amazing and is cheaper than the grocery store. 7-10 pounds of meat (It’s usually like 8 packages of meat), straight to your door. I  get about 15 meals from my Butcher Box. It will just about get me through a month since we usually eat with family once a week and get Pollo Tropical once a week. Butcher Box also has add-ons like beef bones, which are really amazing. I’m hoping one day they will also offer items like ox tail and beef heart (hint, hint…I have some awesome traditional Peruvian recipes, but I need these!). Take a look, try them out, even just once, and let me know what you think!Product Review Friday 9-16

David’s Unforgettable Sauces

He wasn’t lying when he called them unforgettable. My favorites include any of the BBQ (did you try my BBQ Chicken Calzones?) and the Balsamic Soy Ginger. The Balsamic Soy Ginger makes the most incredible marinade for pork tenderloin. I’m salivating at the thought. It’s so good. There a plenty of other flavors as well. All of David’s Unforgettable Sauces are worth trying. Plus, they are non-gmo and dairy free as well.

Gus’s Fry Mix

gluten free LouisianaTwo words. Fried Chicken. Best ever, and I don’t care if you are gf or not. This is just plain good fry mix (seasoned flour). Gus’s Fry mix makes the best fried chicken you have ever had. Also great for gravy and coming soon….mozzarella sticks! The seasoning is perfect and it doesn’t burn like regular gf flour does.  Plus, even with shipping it is a great price so stock up!

Goodie Girl Cookies

After discovering these cookies I have pretty much given up on baking my own (except for special holidays). Why bake my own when I can buy cookies that are just as good, maybe even better. Plus, I don’t have to do any dishes! Everyone in my family has a favorite. Goodie Girl Cookies in South FloridaDad- Mint Slims. Mom- Toffee. Hubby- Quinoa Chocolate Chip. Baby- Midnight Brownie. I mean just look at her face with those Midnight Brownie Cookies. She loves them so much she tried to feed them to her nose and eyes too!

Frontier Bites

So maybe I like to snack…a lot…but I don’t feel bad about eating these. They are delicious and full of nuts and all kinds of yummy things! Perfect for on the go or in a dessert (check out my no bake lemon pies!). My favorite lately are the almond blueberry Frontier Bites. So yummy. I was glad when they started making individual bags because I have a portion control problem.

I hope you enjoy these gluten free products, what was your favorite gluten free product find of 2016?
