Miami Is Kind Macaroons Title

Baking with purpose.

There is a new gluten-free baking company in town. When I was contacted by Miami is Kind, I was very excited. There are not a lot of gluten-free bakeries in Miami, and macaroons are delicious! Once I learned more about the bakery, my excitement grew. Founder Silvia Planas-Prats is out to do more than provide the world with delicious, gluten-free macaroons. She is out to create a social revolution by providing opportunities for young adults with autism and other disabilities to hold gainful employment.

Silvia is originally from Spain and relocated to Miami to find better opportunities for her son, who has autism. After fighting her way through the education system to give him the best opportunities available, she realized that once he left the education system, there were little to no opportunities for him. She has set out to change that.

As do many children with autism, Silvia’s son Marcus benefits from being on a gluten-free diet.

Wanting to make something the whole family could enjoy, and already being familiar with macaroons, which are easily made gluten-free, she spent a year perfecting a recipe that was not only delicious, but could be taught to others. Using her business background, Silvia set up a plan that would guarantee the non-profits success. Miami is Kind launched in October and is already picking up business across the United States.

Miami is Kind believes that with the proper training and a structured work environment that those with Autism and other disabilities have the ability to be successful.

The Macaroons

These macaroons taste amazing. They are so soft and moist. They come in quite a few flavors: original, raspberry heart, chocolate dipped, strawberry lovers, rum lovers, orange lovers, stevia, lemon lovers and chocolate mousse. My favorite is the lemon. It has just a bit of a bite to it. The macaroons are flavored with an imported all natural marmalade that gives them just enough sweetness. Not only are they ridiculously delicious, but they are also gluten-free, which makes them a win for me, but you will have to give them a try for yourself. These are perfect for your afternoon cup of coffee, an office party, in a lunch box, just about any time!

How do I get them?

While they aren’t in store fronts, yet, you can place your order online! They ship all over the Unites States and offer a variety of size packages. You can even set it up to automatically receive a box every month. They also cater local corporate events and have adorable little bags that are perfect for party favors. Watch in the coming months as they add new products to their line!
