I am a huge fan of anything that makes my life easier, and Go Picnic meals do just that. When I packed my hospital bag to have my daughter, I swear most of the bag was Go Picnic meals. They are basically healthier shelf stable lunchables. Go Picnic meals are perfect for traveling (you can even find them in stores along the Florida turnpike!), school lunches (see my post here!), hurricane season, or just keeping in your bag so you are never without a safe GF Meal to eat.
Each box contains a protein, a cracker or chip, trail mix blend, and a sweet treat. I love that each part is individually packaged so that you can eat some and save some for later. If you find that there is a specific product that you like, you can also order individual products. It is gluten free snack heaven.
If you are looking for something that is an easy grab and go meal, then Go Picnic is for you!
Udi’s Gluten Free
Udi’s make a wide variety of products. They were one of the first brands I discovered when I was first diagnosed with Celiac. I am going to be honest, their bread is not my favorite, however, I love their pizza and they make a ton of easy, quick meal options. Recently I was sent 2 coupons for free products, so I grabbed one thing I knew we would love, and a product I hadn’t tried before.
Easy Dinner Meals
One of their newer products are easy meals. I love them. We have tried the Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Alfredo, and Chicken Florentine. While they are all good, the Chicken Parmesan is our favorite. Bothe my husband and my toddler love it.
My only problem with it is the serving size. It can be a bit pricey (about 9.00 a bag) that is supposed to serve 2 people, but I can eat a bag by myself. I’m sure I shouldn’t, but half a bag just isn’t filling enough. Since we do love them, I wait till they are a B1G1 at Publix and print a coupon from the Udi’s Website. When I do it this way, it makes for a quick and easy dinner.
Udi’s has recently come out with a breakfast sandwich. While I applaud the desire to create something quick and easy for the mornings, I found them to be just ok.
I picked up one with sausage, egg, and white cheddar. I really enjoyed the filling, but the bread was a texture I wasn’t used to. My husband seemed to enjoy them, but I feel like for the cost, it is something I would rather make myself.
