I understand, and I have the answer.
We’ve all been there. You just made an awesome dinner, such as my Louisiana Style Red Beans and Rice, you eat till your stuffed and then you have just a little bit leftover. Now, I have no issues eating leftovers, but I have more than one friend whose husband will not eat leftovers. Talk about frustrating.
No worries, Peruvian’s have figured out a way to solve this leftover beans and rice problem.
Red Beans and Rice is a deliciously easy one pot meal that is ready in under 30 minutes! This post is part of a sponsorship with First Fresh Chicken Sausage. As always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting My Gluten Free Miami and the companies that support it!
A NOLA Love Affair
My hubby and I love New Orleans. We went there for our honeymoon and had the best time eating our way through the city (doesn’t everyone plan their vacations around food?) it was amazing, but it was BC (before Celiac). Red Beans and Rice, Muffalata Sandwiches, Gumbo, Banana’s Foster…the kind of food you dream about.
One of my favorite things to make when I am missing New Orleans food is Red Beans and Rice.
Unfortunately, it can be a bit tricky to find a good sausage that is also gluten free. Plus, I don’t have time to spend all day cooking to get that delicious New Orleans flavor.
