Christmas Goodies Galore

With the holidays have come tons of sweets. Cookies and candy canes and tons of sweets. Maybe to much sugar. As I sit here I am tearing up during Elf. I may be sugar crashing, it’s a cute movie, but I’m not sure if it is tear worthy!

Of course, with all the cookies and candies there are bound to be some leftovers. What should you do with them all?

Minty Cookie Shake

After making my Mint Slims Peppermint Pie with Goodie Girl Cookies Mint Slims I had some left over. They are great by themselves, but I have a toddler who is always asking for ice cream and I got to thinking, why not combine them? I threw my cookies in the NutriBullet with ice cream and milk and “Viola!,” deliciousness.

Now if you are up north you probably don’t think about milkshakes in December, but down here in Miami we are having record heat. It is H-O-T, so milkshakes are just the thing. Adding a minty cookie combo just makes it 100 times better! The best part? Mint slim cookies are available all year long, so feel free to pin this recipe to save it for the summer!

What’s your favorite milkshake? Let me know in the comments!

What a positively scrumptious idea Amanda! I’ve done a cookie shake, and a minty shake, but the two together, wow! Now I just need that fab cookie company to go dairy-free, too – okay, I’m getting greedy 🙂

My girls would love this as they love mint cookie shakes, or anything. I love how you also added crushed candy cane pieces on top too!

Sounds delicious. I bet it’d work just as well using coconut based products to avoid the dairy. Thanks for the recipe.

They would be great! I started to mention it, but I don’t think the cookies I used are dairy free, but it could easily be adapted!

Looooooove the way this milkshake looks. It’s got the exact color I look for in the perfect Oreo milkshake. It wasn’t until I read your post that I realized this wasn’t made with Oreos. You could have fooled me! I can’t wait to try this out with some Thin Mints or equivalent cookie. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve never actually tried an oreo shake, I’ll have to look for the gluten free equivalent!

I am just boring. Mine is still vanilla. However, once in a while I have to have a strawberry! It is 17 degrees here in Dallas, Texas. Enjoy that warm weather.
