Creamy Jalapeno Cilantro Aioli is the perfect savory accompaniment for Skirt Steak Sandwich. I won’t blame you if you eat it by itself, it’s that good!

Skirt Steak Sandwiches with Jalapeno Cilantro Aioli

I was so excited when I received the new Coconut Oil Mayo from Chosen Foods. I tried one of their mayos at the South Beach Food and Wine Festival and I couldn’t wait to try their new Coconut Oil Mayo, the 5th in the Chosen Foods mayo line!

Awhile back my dad made us Skirt Steak Sandwiches with this amazing aioli and I was dying to try recreating them. I asked for his recipe, but it was nowhere to be found so I threw together my own and boy, is it amazing. My husband has requested these sandwiches at least once a week.

While the skirt steak itself is great, the mayo is what really makes it and this is one amazing mayo.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, I kinda expected it to have a coconut after taste, but it didn’t. It was honestly the most flavorful mayo I’ve ever had. So good, I would eat it with a spoon.

Here are few other reasons to love Chosen Foods Mayo:

  • Wholesome source of MCTs
  • Non-GMO Project verified
  •  Gluten-free
  • Soy and Canola free
  • Made with cage-free, organic eggs

Chosen Foods Coconut Mayo is available at select Kroger stores locations as well as online at Chosen Foods.  On the Chosen Foods site the Coconut Mayo is  BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE as well as shipped for free with the code: COCONUTBOGO.

Unfortunately, we don’t have Kroger in Miami, but I did see it at Milam’s Market, a local grocery store that carries quite a few of the Chosen Foods brand products, including this Coconut Mayo!

By combing the Chosen Foods Coconut Mayo with chopped jalapenos, cilantro and garlic you have the most amazing aioli. It adds so much flavor to the skirt steak sandwich. The jalapeno cilantro aioli brings the whole sandwich together. The skirt steak itself is just seasoned with salt and pepper and served on a gluten free roll.

 Hints and Tips:

  • Finely chop your jalapeno and cilantro. I chose not to blend it because I like the texture it adds.
  • Clean your steak. One step that people always forget when cooking skirt steak is that there is often a thin membrane on the underside that needs to be removed.
  • Try this aioli on any sandwich you like! It is not limited to skirt steak, this aioli will be fabulous on just about anything!

If you want another easy and delicious lunch idea you have got to try the Bacon Cobb Lettuce Wraps from Perry’s Plate. The garlic mustard sauce is amazing!

We can’t have eggs but I can totally make this with our vegan mayo! It sounds incredibly delicious – I can see me slathering this aioli on pretty much everything! Great combo with the jalapeño and cilantro btw!

For all your vegetarian friends, you could use grilled or roasted veggies. This aioli would be fantastic on a veggie sandwich.

The sandwich looks amazing, I love a good steak sandwich (Philly girl) so I’ll have to bookmark this to put in the rotation super soon. I haven’t always been a fan of gluten free bread, but that one looks really great, which is it?
