Fall Mornings

Nothing says fall like sipping a cup of coffee outside in the crisp, cool air. There is just something about it that is so peaceful. Unfortunately, I don’t get to experience that very often. It stays fairly warm around Miami most of the year, but the heat does not keep us from enjoying the Fall season, especially when it comes to all things Pumpkin Spice! I’ve already made two pumpkin spice recipes this fall – Pumpkin Spice Mousse and Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes with Maple Bourbon Cream Cheese Icing!

Pumpkin Spice is a combination of flavors that can give the feeling of fall any time of year. The combination of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice is quintessential of fall.

Creamy Goodness

At this point of the year, I’m sure you have already seen the pumpkin spice coffee creamers coming out in waves. While they may taste good, they tend to have a lot of ingredients I can’t pronounce. While I am not the queen of eating healthy, I try to do my best where I can. This creamer is so easy to make that it just makes sense to skip the fake stuff and go for the real thing. Plus, I have a bonus gluten free pumpkin spice flan that uses this very creamer coming out this week. You do not want to miss it!

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer

This creamer is so easy you are going to wonder why you never made it yourself before. It’s just a few simple ingredients and voila! Pumpkin Spice Creamer that you want to eat with a spoon.

Recipe Notes

Cinnamon Sticks- I like the flavor that simmering whole cinnamon sticks infuse. It takes a bit more time, but I just set it on to simmer and made dinner while it was going.

Pumpkin Spice- I used a premade pumpkin spice mixture. I did notice that the spice grounds didn’t dissolve very well, but settled towards the bottom. This was fine for me, but the second time I made it I put them in a piece of cheesecloth, tied it up, and threw it into the simmering milk and cream. This added all the flavor, without the spice grounds.

Now, every cup of coffee needs something delicious to go with it. These Gluten Free Pumpkin Spice Donuts from Gluten Free Palate are perfect!

That is really it! Nothing more to it, be sure to come back tomorrow for my Pumpkin Spice Flan!

  1. ok, so not only does this look great! But for no specific reason today, I bought a can of condensed milk (which I never have on hand)! I feel like it was meant to be for me to make this recipe. Thanks, I’m pinning this!

  2. I love the tip about simmering the cream with cinnamon sticks. How smart is that!! I also agree that this is totally better than using the fake stuff. Pinning this for later! Also, P.S., my sister lives in Miami and we’re originally from Orlando so I totally understand when you say that it’s still hot in the fall season. I always craved true fall weather, and I finally get to have it now that I living in Atlanta!
